Sarai Saleh police on Sunday arrested four suspects for the killing of six bodyguards of Javed Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s candidate for district council candidate, who was also injured in Friday night attack on his car.
According to the police, Atif Khan and Asif Khan, sons of former member provincial assembly Munsif Khan, were among the arrested.
The police obtained five-day physical remand of the accused from the Anti-Terrorist Court, Abbottabad. Suspect Atif Khan is also a candidate for district council from Shah Maqsood.
It may be mentioned Javed Khan was attacked by unidentified gunmen when he was returning home after addressing an election meeting in Kalig, Havalian tehsil. His six gunmen were killed, while he received serious injuries.
