100 assistant jail superintendents to be hired

The Punjab government has decided to induct 100 male assistant superintendents for different jails in the province, including the Rawalpindi region.

A jail source said that initially 69 assistant superintendents would be hired to induct them against vacant positions in different jails including the Adiala Jail of Rawalpindi.

The source said that in the second stage, the rest of the vacant positions would be filled.

The source added that at minimum a graduation will be the cut-off qualification for the position of assistant superintendent.

The source said that the process of induction of female assistant jail superintendents and wardens has been already been completed.

Advertisements seeking applications from aspiring candidates against the vacant positions of assistant jail superintendents would soon be circulated in newspapers before announcing the date for test and interview, which would be conducted through NTS, the source said adding that the hiring would be made purely on merit.
