Shahbaz inaugurates Video Conferencing Presence Room at PITB


Punjab Chief Minister Shabaz Sharif inaugurated Video Conferencing Presence Room at ArfaSoftwareTechnologyPark on Saturday.

Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Dr. Umar Saif was also present on the occasion. The Punjab CM congratulated Dr. Umar Saif and his team on devising such a state of the art video linking system that enabled him to communicate with any officer at any district across the province while sitting at Lahore.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the system was highly productive in saving time and money earlier incurred in long and expensive journeys to the miles away districts in Punjab. Appreciating benefits of technology, the CM said that it was much easier to interact with the officers by exchanging physical expressions and live discussions through video linking. Afterwards, the CM Punjab held a live meeting on farm to market roads project with the provincial ministers, MNAs, MPAs, Chief Secretary, Secretaries, Commissioners, DCOs and other senior officers present at their respective offices including Civil Secretariat and 8 divisional headquarters i.e. Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi.
