RAWALPINDI:
Naltar Tragedy victims on Saturday were transferred to Islamabad, a day after the tragic crash in the Gilgit valley in which seven people passed away, including two diplomats, according to local media sources.
The dead bodies were shifted to PAF Base Nur Khan in Rawalpindi from Gilgit via three helicopters, while funeral prayers of the two martyred pilots of the helicopter would be offered at the PAF Base Nur Khan.
Top civil and military leadership including the Chief of Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif and Air Marshal Sohail Aman were present at the air base to receive the dead bodies, authorities reported.
Families of the victims wept as the deceased were honoured with salutes. Army chief offered condolences to the victims’ families.
