While expressing its dissatisfaction over the faulty work carried out by the CDA at THE Parliament Lodges, the National Assembly Standing Committee has asked the civic agency to fix technical faults.

Chairing a meeting of the standing committee of houses and libraries, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi said that the CDA has already used defective construction material during construction, but technical faults are making matters worse.

He said that despite clear-cut directives, the civic agency has failed to carry out the repair work. The deputy speaker said that work was being carried out repeatedly on the same faults.

The standing committee also took up a PC-I presented by the civic agency to carry out repair work at the Parliament Lodges.

The committee recommended that only those repair and renovation works that were absolutely necessary should be included in the PC-I. The standing committee asked the civic agency to ensure quality work.
