BRITAIN:
Labour leader Ed Miliband admitted Friday his party had a “very disappointing and difficult night” in Britain’s election, in which exit polls indicated a surprise surge for the centre-right Conservative party.
“The results are still coming in but this has clearly been a very disappointing and difficult night for the Labour party. We haven’t made the gains we wanted in England and Wales, and in Scotland we have seen a surge of nationalism overwhelm our party,” Miliband told voters after being re-elected to his seat.
