200 students fall prey to poisonous food

Around 200 students were admitted to CMH and college hospital in serious condition on Thursday, after eating poisonous food at the Jamshoro cadet college.

According to media reports, around 200 students suffered from food poisoning after eating fatal food at the Jamshoro cadet college on Wednesday night.

The patients were shifted to CMH and college hospital for medical treatment. The medical treatments of the students were underway at both the hospitals.

Although, the reports were not confirmed by the hospital administration, but the students have been studying in grade eight and 12 of the cadet college Jamshoro, respectively.

The Principal Cadet College said that around 50 to 60 students were affected by food poisoning. They were admitted at the college hospital. Of the entire lot, only two have been discharged currently.

The official took the stance that around 650 students have eaten the meal from the college canteen, while 150 students fell sick, as they had eaten fast food.

The samples of Kebab and bread have been sent for testing in Karachi. An inquiry team has been formed under the command of Principal Cadet College, to investigate the reasons behind the incident.
