ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed Senator Rafiq Rajwana as the Governor Punjab on Thursday, after the seat was vacated by Chaudhry Sarwar earlier, according to local media sources.
Rajwana belongs to South Punjab, and is also a famous lawyer. Sharif held a meeting with him at the Prime Minister House after which the appointment was made public, according to reports.
Prime Minister praised the efforts of Senator Rajwana for Pakistan Muslim League (N).
