The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a resolution against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Punjab Assembly on Monday.

The resolution was submitted by Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed and PTI Punjab Deputy Parliamentary Leader Sibtain Khan.

The resolution strongly condemns MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s remarks and demands to raise the issue at diplomatic level in UK.

The resolution also lauds security officials’ efforts in war against terrorism and ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.

Separately, the PTI also submitted an adjournment motion regarding the abduction of policemen from Rahim Yar Khan.

Adjournment motion submitted by PTI stated that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has no time to look after law and order in the province as he is only interested in mega development projects like metro bus.

Lawyers protest against Altaf:

Meanwhile, lawyers on Monday protested against the MQM chief in the premises of Lahore High Court (LHC) demanding of the authorities to ban MQM.

The protesters stated that the provocative speech of Altaf against national security units is unbearable and illegal, therefore, the authority should ban MQM.

They said that the sacrifices of the army would always be remembered.
