Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reached Rawalpindi Sadr without any protocol for inspection of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project early in the morning, conducted a seven hours long visit, and presided over a briefing meeting.
The chief minister travelled by Metro Bus and at some places by ordinary coaster, and inspected the entire route of the project and took stock of the construction work being done.
Members of national and provincial assemblies and administrative officers also travelled on the coaster with him. He said that the time for protocols that consisted of a long convoy of vehicles has passed and now the minister, ministers and bureaucracy will have to serve the masses by becoming their servants in the real sense, just like him.
He inspected Pak Secretariat Metro Bus Station and tunnel track through the coaster in Islamabad. He issued instructions not to stop traffic on at any place during his visit and the flow of traffic continued as per routine on all the roads during the visit.
Seeing the CM, the people of twin cities expressed pleasure and welcomed him by waving their hands. During the inspection of the Faizabad Metro Bus Station and other places, he shook hand with workers and labourers engaged in construction work and appreciated their performance.
In that case you are FIRED.
