Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday paid an emergency visit to Metro bus terminal in Rawalpindi to review the ongoing implementation of the project and directed the administration to complete the project as early as possible.
As per details, Metro Bus Project Chairman Haneef Abbasi, chief secretary, commissioner and deputy city officer (DCO) were also present on this occasion.
Rawalpindi Commissioner Zahid Saeed briefed the CM Punjab regarding the process of construction and said that the project faced delays due to the sit-ins orchestrated by Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri. He further told Shahbaz Sharif that CCTV cameras have also been installed at as many as 24 metro bus stations. He travelled in a Metro Bus and reviewed the arrangements for travelling.
