Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Manzoor Ahmed Malik on Saturday has formed at least 48 single, 20 division and as many as 16 special benches to wind-up different cases in the next week.
The LHC registrar issued judicial roster on the directives of the CJ. According to the roster, for Lahore bench at least 29 single and 12 division benches have been formed. While as many as 16 special benches have been formed to hold hearings of key cases.
For the Rawalpindi bench at least two division while four single benches have been formed. As many as ten single and four division benches have been formed for the Multan bench.
The formed benches will hold hearings of thousands of cases that need to be heard on immediate basis. The benches will also hear constitutional petitions, criminal and civil appeals.
