Negotiations between the traders and government representatives succeeded Saturday with the traders agreeing to shut shops by 9pm.

Earlier, the government had issued orders of shutting down markets in Islamabad by 8pm to control the load shedding during the summers following which the traders in the capital staged protests against the decision. The government succeeded in bringing them to the table and subsequently reached a unanimous decision.
