Sindh Minister for Katchi Abadis Javed Nagori’s brother Akbar Nagori succumbed to injuries sustained in a grenade and gun attack in Karachi’s Lyari area late on Friday.
Nagori had received multiple injuries in the attack at the office of the minister located at Shah Waliullah Road in Lyari.
According to police, six people, including Akbar Nagori were injured in the attack. Akbar passed away during treatment at the civil Hospital.
Deputy Inspector General Police South Dr Jamil has held elements of the gangwar responsible for the attack. He termed the assault as a reaction to the successful operation against criminal gangs in Lyari.
