Adiala Jail authorities have decided to computerise jail records pertaining to inmates to ensure their entry and exit biometrically.
Sources said that in the first phase, bio-data of wanted terrorists, who are languishing in the jail, would be computerised with their pictures included in the form.
The inmates will be issued biometric cards to swipe while coming in and out, after they were taken to and from courts.
The sources said that besides computerising the records of all the jail inmates, CCTV cameras would also be installed on the premises of the jail to monitor the activities of the inmates. The process will be completed within a month’s time, said the sources.
