Tariq Asad, Advocate of Supreme Court (SC), on Thursday boycotted the election of Islamabad Bar Council (IBC).
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said, “I don’t want to become a part of elections whose level is less than the elections of traders and labour unions elections.”
He added that the Bar Council Pakistan represents all other bar councils and represents lawyers at the international level.
He stated that Bar Council elections campaign is clearly violating Bar Council rules and lawyers are being bribed through laptops, iPhones and other expensive items.
He appealed lawyers to give their vote to the right person and not become a part of corruption.
