A ninth grader from the F-10-2 Girls College has reportedly gone missing after she left the college premises with other students.
According to the college administration, in the CCTV footage the girl could be seen leaving the college building with other students before she vanishes from the frame.
The college administration suspected that unidentified kidnappers might have abducted the student, who was identified as Aliza.
The motive behind the kidnapping, however, could not be ascertained, as the alleged kidnappers have not contacted the college administration or her parents to demand a ransom to release her.
Sources said that the college has no proper security in place at the gate, otherwise, the suspected kidnappers could have faced resistance or at least they could have been identified through their appearance.
When contacted, the Shalimar police confirmed that the girl has been kidnapped and a case has been registered on a complaint of her father.
The police said that they have not so far been able to make any progress to trace the alleged kidnappers and their whereabouts. Further investigation is underway.
