A convicted prisoner on death row was executed in Vehari early Wednesday morning.
Abdul Ghafoor, convicted of raping and killing an eight-year girl back in 1991 was hanged to death in Vehari District Jail. Ghafoor was executed after President Mamnoon Hussain rejected his clemency plea.
