The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sent six names to the Cabinet Division to set up the Islamabad Wildlife Board.

A source in the CDA said that the summary contains names of unrelated persons instead of wildlife experts and professionals, as the summary has been prepared under duress.

The sources said that the summary also contains the names of a dentist, a development officer and a trader, who have no previous experience of wildlife and fauna and flora.

The names of IG forest, the conservator and IG Islamabad have been dropped from the summary while names of Senator Mushahid Hussain, MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, MNA Maryam Aurangzeb, former bureaucrat Roedad Khan, dental surgeon Anisur Rehman, businessman Waqar Zakriya and names of representatives of IUCN and WWF have been included in the summary.

A CDA source claimed that the names of wildlife experts and professionals were dropped after the civic agency buckled under pressure from the high-ups.
