People will vote for PML-N again in 2018: Hamza

The people of Pakistan will vote for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in 2018 elections on the basis of party’s performance instead of hollow slogans and false promises, said National Assembly Member Hamza Shahbaz while addressing a function of laptop distribution under Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme among the students at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on Monday. UET Vice Chancellor Dr Fazal Khalid also addressed the ceremony.

Provincial assembly member Akhter Ali, PML-N leader Samiullah Chaudhary, teachers and a large number of students were also present on the occasion. Laptops were distributed among 456 male and female students.

Hamza said that the development and prosperity of Pakistan depends upon the continuity of democracy, democratic institutions and system.

“It is a good omen that democratic governments in Pakistan are completing their tenure,” he said, adding that due to continuity of democracy and democratic institutions, the confidence of foreign investors enhances in institutions of the country.

He said that signing the agreements of projects of billions of dollars during the visit of Chinese President to Pakistan is the success of the government. He said that the economic corridor from Gawadar to China will prove a game changer for the country due to which there will be an economic revolution.

He said that the government has started projects of billions of rupees with the cooperation of China for eliminating energy crises from the country. He said that 1,320 megawatt project in Sahiwal with the help of China will be completed soon.

He said that solar park in Bahawalpur has started working and 100 megawatt electricity has been added in national grid.

He said that 1,000 megawatt solar electricity will soon be generated with the cooperation of China.

He expressed the hope that energy crisis will be eliminated from the country by 2018.

He said that the government has started project of providing potable water at a cost of Rs 12 billion in all 36 districts of the province which will be completed by 2017.

“The government has achieved glorious successes in the war against terrorism,” he said while talking about the National Action Plan.

Later, talking to journalists, he said that people and government of Pakistan are with Saudi Arabia and their hearts beat with Saudi brethren. He said that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan in every hour of trail and Pakistan will also stand with the people of Saudi Arabia in this difficult situation.
