President Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated Pakistan’s determination to defend the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia at all cost.
He was talking to Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Khalid al-Ghamidi who called on him Monday. The president said that people and Government of Pakistan have special sentiments for Saudi Arabia. He said that Pakistan stands by Saudi Arabia and there should be no doubt about that.
Speaking on this occasion, the distinguished guest said Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have deep relations and their foundations are very strong. He said that no one could harm these relations.
Imam-e-Kaaba expressed confidence that Pakistan would always remain behind Saudi Arabia at all junctures.
He said thousands of Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia are playing a role in bridging the gap between the two countries. Sheikh Khalid al-Ghamidi also led the Zuhar Prayer at the Presidency in Islamabad.
The Imam-e-Kaaba arrived on a weeklong visit to Pakistan last Thursday.
The Imam earlier spent for four days in Lahore and will now stay in Islamabad for the next three days, holding meetings with Pakistani officials, dignitaries, and religious scholars, to help improve relations between the two countries.
