The Lahore High Court (LHC) has accepted the plea of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry to become a party in the case filed against the establishment of Judicial Commission (JC) which was formed to probe rigging in General Election 2013.
During the hearing, the petitioner adopted the stance that the formation of JC is not against law as an ordinance was issued in this regard.
He also said that the reason of JC’s establishment was to initiate a renewed investigation of rigging therefore; the court should allow the petitioner to become a party in the case.
The court after hearing the argument issued a notice to the federal government and summoned reply till April 29.
