Khawaja Asif’s visit sparks PMLN-PTI clash in Sialkot

Army was called in to bring the situation under control after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supporters clashed with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members during Cantonment Board elections on Saturday.

Reportedly, hundreds of political workers from both sides were shouting slogans against each other in one of the wards when PML-N leader Khawaja Asif made his entry, allegedly provoking a clash between the two parties.

One PTI worker was seriously injured in the clash as Asif quietly left the scene.

NINE INJURED AS PML-N, PTI WORKERS EXCHANGE FIRE

Meanwhile, at least nine political activists were injured in an exchange of fire in Chungi Amar Sidhu area of the city.

As per details, workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) while celebrating triumph of their respective candidates in Saturday’s cantonment board polls clashed with each other which lead to a heated argument followed by an exchange of fire.

As a consequence, nine activists received bullet wounds and were rushed to a nearby hospital were condition of five injured was declared critical.

 

He assured to monitor the whole process himself so that no corruption could be taken place. Vowing to eliminate farmers’ problems, he stated that the government will provide 5,000 to 10,000 tractors to the small farmers.
