The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected revenue of Rs 1755 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year showing an increase of 11 percent over the same period last year.
This was stated in a briefing arranged by FBR to Finance Minister Ishaque Dar here on Sunday. The increase in revenue collection has been registered despite reduction in oil prices.
The finance minister directed the authorities concerned to make concerted efforts to achieve the revenue collection target. He was also briefed on tax reforms and the forthcoming federal budget for the next financial year.
