Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Naeem ur Rehman on Thursday refused to accept the mandate of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the by-election of NA-246.

Addressing a press conference, Rehman said that the electoral system was deeply flawed in the country. “Free and fair elections were not held in NA-246,” he said, adding that ECP failed to conduct free and fair elections in the constituency.

The JI leader said that his party was competing against polling staff and fake lists.
