Why no dialogue on KBD?

An opposition party leader has a grouse which is why the opposition was ignored in deciding the route of “Economic Corridor” being developed with the co-operation of China. Doesn’t the same logic apply to initiating a dialogue on KBD which is in fact a hydel corridor for the country which could generate cheap power and also store water for boosting agriculture upon which depends our industrial/textile sector? Democracy entails discussion on national issues but the ruling party PML-N studiously avoids discussion and dialogue on KBD with the opposing parties as it somehow fears truth emerging from dialogue.

Such a vital project like KBD has been placed on limbo or even buried in the parlance of a political party which burdened Pakistan with expensive thermal energy in the form of IPPs and RPPs that hang like a millstone around the neck of Pakistan. Raja Pervez Ashraf even now gives a broad smile in public without any regrets for pushing the country on a downhill course leading to vicious circular debt that keeps constricting the economy like a boa constrictor to suck the life out of our economy. The shame faced politicians at the back of worst betrayal of country roam scot-free as if they have done no wrong and pose as champions of our downfall.
