Former Sindh minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Zulfiqar Mirza has accused PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of money laundering through supermodel Ayyan Ali and called for formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) against him.
Talking to a news channel, Mirza claimed that the money Ayyan was trying to take abroad belonged to Zardari. He said the model used to get VIP protocol during her visits to Bilawal House. He claimed that an investigation against Zardari into corruption is not a difficult task but despite prime minister’s statements, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is not taking action against corrupt people.
“PPP has turned into Zardari-league and I want to free the helpless people of Sindh form the current PPP’s leadership,” he lamented.
When asked about the differences between Bilawal Bhutto and his father, Mirza said no one will deny the differences after Zardari’s recent public comments. He said Bilawal wanted what Rangers are doing these days and when he called for operations against the outlaws in Karachi, he was forced to leave the country.
