KARACHI
The fourth death anniversary of legendary actor and comedian Moin Akhtar is being observed today (Wednesday), according to local media sources.
Moin Akhtar has been remembered as one of the pioneers of Pakistani entertainment industry with his versatile characters and acting in dramas of various genres.
Akhtar was born on December 24, 1950 and joined the entertainment field in his teen years, with one of his first appearances being his 1966 parody of famous film actor Muhammad Ali.
The actor has also been claimed to win the hearts of iconic Bollywood film stars Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachan.
TV plays including Rozi , Eid Train , Family 93 , Half Plate , Sach Much were few of many super hit programmes he did. He was well known as a great host and anchor person.
The legendary actor left the world on April 22 in 2011 following a cardiac arrest and was laid to rest at model colony graveyard in Karachi, according to sources.
