ISLAMABAD:
Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at Parliament and held a meeting with Raza Rabbani and Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday, according to local media sources.
During the meeting, Pakistani authorities thanked China for its cooperation in various fields and investment that will help boost Pakistani economy.
Earlier, Chinese President was welcomed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Raza Rabbani, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and army chief General Raheel Sharif on his arrival at the Parliament House, according to reports.
After addressing joint sitting of the Parliament, the Chinese President will inaugurate solar power system of the Parliament and proceed to Aiwan-e-Sadr where he would spend some time with President Mamnoon Hussain, stated local media outlets.
