It is mandatory for the citizens of Karachi to keep their original identity cards with them at all times, according to the directives of Sindh Rangers.
The spokesman of the paratroopers said in categorical terms that photocopies of the NICs will not be acceptable and a person who does not have a valid identity card may be taken into custody for identity check.
The spokesman of the Rangers said that the law-enforcement agencies were actively preoccupied with the work for city’s peace requesting the citizens to cooperate in campaign against the criminal elements.
The spokesman directed the citizens to immediately report to the Rangers helpline 1101 if anyone tries to snatch or collect their NICs.
