SRINAGAR:
A shutdown was observed on Saturday all across Indian-held Kashmir on call of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani, to protest the arrest of separatist leader Massarat Alam, according to sources.
14 Kashmiris had been injured yesterday as clashes erupted after the arrest of Alam on April 17, the reason being his waving of the Pakistani flag and chanting pro-Pakistan slogans at a rally.
All shops were closed and public transport was also suspended for the time being, according to reports.
