The Sessions Court on Friday has ordered the plaintiff, former member of assembly Hanif Abbasi, in the defamation suit against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, to submit a reply regarding Khan’s plea to shift the case to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Sessions Judge Nadeem Anwar held a hearing of the defamation case and compensation claim against Khan by Abbasi.
On Abbasi’s absence during the hearing, Khan’s counsel said that the plaintiff had not submitted his reply regarding plea-seeking transference of the case to the IHC.
The court issued notice to Abbasi to submit reply and adjourned the hearing until April 22.
Earlier, Abbasi had filed a compensation claim against Khan for calling him a ‘drug smuggler’.
