2015’s first dengue patient found

The first suspected dengue patient of the year with symptoms of Dengue Fever has been admitted at the Holy Family hospital.

A 13-year boy named Syed Faizan Ali Shah a resident of Taxila was brought to the Emergency of Holy Family Hospital suffering from a high fever and in very bad condition.

The boy’s family told doctors of Holy Family that Syed Faizan was suffering from dengue fever according to the tests performed at a private laboratory.

The doctors rejected to accept the version of the family, took blood samples of the boy, and sent them to laboratory for evaluation

  1. I like how you mention getting involved in your own electronic health record – I agree that that's a great way for patients to become empowered. This is a great list, and it left me wondering how these things might fit within the eHealth landscape. What apps are out there to help people with these suggestions? Or which ones could be created? When it comes to preparing and prioritizing (#1 and #2 on your list), I think even using something like "Notes" on your phone is a good way to get your thoughts down. Since the chances are good that you'll have your phone with you during your appointment, you can then refer to the Notes on your phone when talking with your doctor.
