ISLAMABAD:
The Judicial Commission constituted to probe alleged rigging in 2013 general elections is conducting its first hearing today (Thursday) in Supreme Court of Pakistan, according to sources.
The three-member commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk comprises Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan.
Hamid Ali Khan has been appointed as the commission’s secretary.
Political parties, including PPP, JI and ANP, have submitted their statements and proofs on rigging.
The commission would present its report within 45 days.
Today, Imran Khan reached the apex court along with his party leaders to present evidences before the panel.
On the other hand, ruling PML-N has formed its legal team to appear before the commission.
