Pakistan Rangers on Tuesday released the detail of weapons seized from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine-Zero during a raid on March 11 and as per Rangers spokesperson, 53 of the 124 weapons are not licensed.
According to details, a Rangers spokesperson said that Rangers seized 124 weapons from the centre including LMGs, SMGs, M4, G3 rifles, repeaters and pistols. The spokesperson said that MQM produced as many as 107 licenses but only 71 were verified whereas 36 licenses returned as unverified and no licenses were produced for the remaining 17 weapons. The spokesman said that this concludes that 53 weapons seized during the raid were illegal, adding that further proceeding with the Interior Ministry is ongoing.
