On the direction of Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawja Salman Rafiq, a special medical board has been constituted for the treatment of 13-year old Nauman Masih in Mayo Hospital.
Rafiq visited the hospital to enquire after the health of Nauman who was set ablaze by unidentified persons in Gulshan-e-Ravi a few days back. Medical Superintendent Dr Amjad Shahzad informed Rafiq that more than 50 percent body of the victim was burnt however, doctors are trying their best to save the life of the young boy.
Special medical board headed by East Surgical Ward Professor of Surgery Dr Asghar Naqi is looking after the patient. Other members of the board are Plastic Surgeon Dr Hamid Ansari and Assistant Professor Medicine Dr Imran Mahfooz.
Rafiq directed the hospital administration for providing best healthcare facilities to the patient. He said that he personally monitoring the case of Nauman.
