Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said on Sunday said that the whole Pakistani nation looked forward to receive the Chinese president which would serve as a new milestone in Pak-China relationship.
Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong met Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar here discussing preparations for the forthcoming visit of Chinese president to Pakistan. They discussed various issues related to upcoming Chinese president’s to Pakistan. The Chinese envoy appreciated establishment of special committee by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to look after all arrangements of the visit.
He said this step demonstrated the level of importance that the government attached to this visit and hoped that under the guidance of Dar, the committee would be able to contribute its best arranging all the events starting from the arrival, holding of meetings and signing of a host of agreements/MoUs which he said would be the hallmark of this visit.
The minister on the occasion apprised the Chinese ambassador about the resolution on Yemen, passed in the national assembly, which also carried special gratitude to China for helping out stranded Pakistanis in Yemen. Sun Weidong thanked the Pakistan government on this gesture, adding that China was also grateful to Pakistan for evacuating Chinese students from the war affected areas in Yemen.
