Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan has deposited Rs50,000 fine in Sindh High Court (SHC) Saturday for not appearing in the court.

Khan’s lawyer Advocate Beenish Qureshi appeared in the court and paid the penalty.

Earlier, Imran Khan accused Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in Zahra Shahid’s murder case on which MQM leader Farooq Sattar termed the allegations baseless and filed Rs 5 billion lawsuit against Khan in the SHC. The SHC issued repeated summon notices to Imran Khan but neither he nor his lawyer presented themselves before the court resulting to which the court fined him Rs 50,000.
