Capital police breaks a sweat busting brothels, street criminals in Saturday operations
Under its operation against anti-social elements, the police have busted a brothel and arrested 10 accused including six females and four males, who were allegedly involved in immoral activities.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Saddar Wah Police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid at a brothel in Khanabad area and netted six women and four men.
A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation was underway.
CIA AT WORK:
In the meanwhile, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police have busted a gang of street criminals and seized stolen bike, snatched mobile phone, weapons, and looted valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, SP Investigation Muhammad Ilyas constituted special teams under supervision of CIA DSP Basheer Ahmed Noon to trace the street criminals involved in crime incidents in the area after receiving some complaints. These teams comprising ASIs Ameer Sajjad and Tipu Sulatan and head constable made out all efforts to trace these criminals and finally busted an gang involved in Street crime. The gang members have been identified as Muhammad Balil, Luqman Saddique and Ali Raza. Police team also recovered two pistols along with ammunition, snatched mobile phones, stolen bike and snatched cash from their possession.
They have confessed their involvement in several cases of street Crime in Ramana, Margalla, Shalimar, Aabpara and Rawalpindi area while further investigation is underway from them.
Inspector General of police Tahir Alam Khan and SSP Islamabad Mir Vais Niaz have appreciated this overall performance of CIA and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance in their respective area and curb activities of anti-social elements.
JHANDA CHICHI OPP:
On special directive of Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, the police on Saturday launched a special search operation in Jhanda Chichi and its adjoining areas in the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station.
Heavy police contingents, Elite Force, Muhafiz Squad and women police, under the supervision of Superintendent Police (SP) Potohar, conducted search operation in the area.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, the police checked 32 houses while 75 people were interrogated. He informed that special search operations to check suspected persons and to net the criminals are being conducted in several areas of the district.
