The Pakistan Army on Thursday promoted five major generals to the next rank and also made some important postings and transfers.
Lt General Ashfaq Nadeem has been appointed Corps Commander Multan, Lt Gen Javed Ramdey Corps Commander Bahawalpur while Lt Gen Zubair Mehmood has been appointed Chief of General Staff.
Lt Gen Anwar Ali Hyder has been appointed as president National Defence University, while Military Secretary Lieutenant General Zaheer Jamil has been appointed as DG Strategic and Plans Division.
The ISPR also announced the promotion of five major generals as lieutenant generals. The officers who have been promoted are Maj Gen Amir Mehmood Hayat, Maj Gen Zafar Iqbal Malik, Maj Gen Mehmood Bukhari, Maj Gen Anwar Ali Hyder and Maj Gen Shahid Baig Mirza.
