Marriage halls, restaurants to shut down before midnight in Islamabad


A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy on Wednesday decided to shut down marriage halls and restaurants at 10pm and 11pm, respectively, in the federal capital.

The decision came during the 12th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy being chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The meeting also reviewed efforts to overcome energy crisis in the country.



  1. The persuit of happiness is also being denied now. Islamabad has never been been popular place for the diplomats. One decribed it as like a cemetry in New York only twice as large. No wonder it is regarded as hard station.
