City sans arms

My heart bleeds when I see gory footage of people being killed in Karachi on daily basis. I feel that strict disarmament in the city is required on emergency basis in order to curb this evil that haunts the citizens of Karachi like a ghost. The city of lights looms under the dark shadows of death but disarmament without any discrimination will revive the hustle and bustle of the city.

The project of computerisation of arms license launched by NADRA in collaboration with the Sindh government can push back the lurking shadows of death in Sindh. In this regard the work of Interior Ministry is praiseworthy and consequential as it has implemented the arms license project in Sindh and Punjab. It will nip a number of evils, including target killing by anonymous culprits, in the bud. I appreciate this project and pin complete hope that nobody is treated as above law and that zero tolerance policy for illegal possession of arms will be ensured.

If this activity is successfully completed explicit downfall will occur in anonymous killings. Moreover, if any unfortunate incidence occurs, at least the blood of the innocent will not wait too long for justice. Therefore, it is imperative that the exercise be done with transparency. All of us should make sure for our full cooperation in this regard. After all this is a matter of security of our loved ones. We look forward to the launching of the same project in Balochistan and KP.
