The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in order to get out of its economic crunch is in full swing to launch new residential sectors while ignoring the incomplete residential projects.
According to sources, CDA has started to allot and auction the plots located in controversial sectors I-12, C-15, C-16, and Park Enclave, while leaving the developments projects and possession of I-11, E-12, D-12, and G-12 aside, which were launched 20 years back.
The CDA has the responsibility to develop, maintain, repair and solve the problems of the residents of the city. However, they have abandoned the development of projects announced two decades ago, while started to bid off new plots to bear the economic problems.
Unqualified officials of CDA have inaugurated the controversial project of Park Enclave three years ago. CDA has yet to take the full possession of the Project, while not more than 10 per cent of the development work has been completed until now.
While creating further problems in the matter, E-12 allotters have now been allotted plots at E-12 Sector area, whereas the possession has not been taken by CDA.
At-present, the two biggest mega corruption scandal of CDA are in C-15, and C-16, where from 88 plots over 80 have been allotted to a single Family. The costs of the specific plots are around billions of rupees, while allotment of the two sectors is ongoing through suspicious method.
