Two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries when a vehicle in which they were travelling was attacked by unidentified armed men in Yar Hussain area of district Swabi on Monday.
According to a senior police official of Yar Hussain Police Station, five persons were travelling in their vehicle when some unidentified armed men opened fire at them, killing two persons on the spot and injuring three others
The deceased and injured were shifted to district hospital where the condition of two injured was stated to be critical. They were referred to a hospital in Peshawar. The police cordoned off the area and started search operation following the attack and five suspects were arrested. The police also claimed to have recovered Kalashnikov, pistol, and three motorbikes from their possession.
