The entire nation and political and military leaderships are united for the elimination of terrorism, extremism and sectarianism, said Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday while addressing assembly members belonging to different districts who called on him.
He said that the Pakistan Army is achieving excellent results in operations against militants. The Operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken the back of extremism, he added. The CM said that a decisive war on terror is being fought to make Pakistan a peaceful place to live in.
He said that soldiers and officers of the armed forces have offered countless sacrifices in order to bring stability in the country.
He said that the history won’t forget the sacrifices made by the police and citizens too. The CM expressed deep resolve to continue countering terror until the country is rid of the menace of terrorism.
