The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday claimed to have arrested the mastermind of suicide bombing in a volleyball match in 2010 in which at least 105 people were dead and over 100 were injured in Lakki Marwat.
According to security forces officials, the CTD personnel counter terrorism raids in district Lakki Marwat and arrested Ahmed Ali – brother of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader, who bombed volleyball match.
Meanwhile, CTD Peshawar chapter arrested two terrorist commanders of banned TTP during counter terrorism raids, said officials.
According to CTD officials, the personnel of CTD conducted counter terrorism raids and arrested Said Amin Jan and Shah Khalid belongs to TTP.
Another terrorist of Lashkar-e-Islam was arrested by police from Badaber area of Peshawar.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa govermnet had announced Rs1 million as head money for the arrested terrorist. They were wanted to law enforcement agencies in attacks on security forces, extortions, target killing, said CTD officials.
