The entire political and military leadership of the country is on the same page in struggle to counter terrorism, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while addressing the second passing out ceremony of the Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) on Saturday.
The ceremony was held at the Bedian Police Training Centre where 424 CTF cadets carried out parade, displaying their skills to tackle terror situations.
While talking to the participants of the parade, the chief minister lauded the nation’s unity against extremism and said that the government is keen to eliminate terrorism from the country as it is standing on a cross-road facing a situation of now or never.
He said that all out efforts will be made to make the country an epicenter of peace and tranquility.
He said that the government is set to transform every difficulty and disappointment into opportunity and the nation ought to forge unity in its ranks to curb the menace of terrorism.
He said that all possible facilities and resources would be provided to the force to make the anti-terrorism war more effective.
He thanked the Turkish government for extending cooperation to Pakistani government in formation of CTF.
He said that the nation is proud of CTF, which is playing an effective role in the war against terrorism.
Earlier, the force members took oath of their responsibilities.
