The discrimination against women exercised in South Asia is a matter of concern. The male chauvinism is certainly deep rooted in this region. Grave measures are needed to eliminate this unjust tendency. In most cases women are blamed for everything for no reason. They are traumatised and compelled to lead a life with elevated sense of insecurities. In the wake of global condemnation, amendments have been made in the constitutions of aforementioned region.

So far, many laws have been designed for women empowerment but it is of paramount significance to implement these laws now. The civil society must take initiative to spread awareness among the masses. Women themselves should not remain mute and should take necessary steps to defend their due rights without violating law and order situation. Education should be made mandatory everywhere, specifically in the regions where high discrimination is inflicted on woman.
