The Sindh government Wednesday submitted a list of as many as 25 government employees in the Supreme Court (SC) who were promoted without test and proper channel.
According to details, the officers who were given promotion belong to influential political families. These employees were promoted after exempting them from exams. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Awais Muzaffar, Makhdoom Shakeeluz Zaman, Makhdoom Aqeeluz Zaman along with others are mentioned in the list. Awais Muzaffar had resigned while Khan Muhammad Khan, Imtiaz Rajpar, Aftab Khatri, Abid Qureshi and Riaz Massan have retired.
The Sindh government also exempted at least eight officers of BS-17 from exams but did not promote them.
The list further includes Ghulam Ali Soomro, Aftab Abbasi, Shams Shakrani, Ghulam haider Mangrio, Kamran Shamshad, Chiraghuddin, Babar Qadeer, Ahmed Ali Shah, Ghazanfar Ali Laghari, Muhammad Hussain Ghoomro, Dr Sheraz and Ghulam Haider Chandio.
