Yemen war worsens, hundreds of Pakistanis still stranded

While around 500 Pakistanis have arrived home Sunday, hundreds of nationals are still stranded in the war-hit Yemen where the civil war between the government and Houthi rebels is worsening with days.

More than 100 Pakistanis are still stranded in Yemen’s capital Sanaa while more are stranded in Aden where clashes are continuously taking place.

According to Foreign Office, the preparations for evacuating Pakistanis from Yemen have been completed and all the Pakistanis will be evacuated within the next 24 hours.

Per latest situation, the coalition forces are bombarding the capital to gain control while the Houthi rebels have blocked all the roads by parking trucks on them.

Bomb blasts are being heard every few minutes in Aden where more than 200 Pakistanis are stranded and the eatables in their possession are constantly declining. Pakistanis will be taken in the form of a caravan to Aden seaport where they will board the ships that will bring them to Pakistan.

Dr Danish, a Pakistani stranded in Aden, said that the situation in Aden was worsening every passing minute. Preparations are also being made to evacuate Pakistanis in Aden through Almakla Airport as well where the situation is comparatively better.
